Just natural talent: The father Britain's Got Talent hopeful Beau Dermott has denied claims that she is a 'cheat' after her years of singing lessons were not mentioned during her audition

Proud dad: However, Ian Dermott has clarified the reports and explained that his talented daughter only received lessons from amateur theatre group Stage Pro 'once every three months'
Speaking to The Mirror, the proud father explained: 'People are saying she's been in theatre school for five years - she hasn't.'
'It might be once a month, it might be once in three months. She's never done any productions for them.'
As for the revelation about Beau's previous experience in smaller talent competitions, the 52-year-old bricklayer continued: 'You've got to use local talent shows to build their confidence up.
'It would be crazy to put your child on to a stage like BGT without knowing the can do it. You'd be hanging them out to dry.'
His comments about his 'shy and quiet' daughter come after video of an old performance surfaced which saw Beau taking part in another talent competition.

'She was far from nervous': BGT hopeful Beau has been seen on camera in a newly-surfaced video, taking part in the Teen Star contest in Liverpool last year
In the video, the 12-year-old is seen singing beautifully in the Teen Star contest, appearing confident, calm and collected.
The clip appears to be at odds with the assertions she found the BGT audition nerve-wracking after her mother revealed getting on stage was a 'really big thing' for her.
The youngster looks comfortable during the grand final of the BGT-style competition run by Future Music, dubbed as the 'UK’s biggest search for teenage and pre-teen singing acts'.
And her vocals were on point, the same breath-taking tones that impressed judge Amanda Holden on Sunday's show so much, she used her golden buzzer to send Beau straight through to the live semi-finals.

Talented youngster: The 12-year-old has been at the centre of a 'cheating' storm around the ITV show
A source, who was at the live finals of Teen Star in Liverpool last year and watched her perform Defying Gravity, told The Mirror: 'She has loads of singing experience and is nowhere near as nervous as they are making out.
'She's talkative back stage, well spoken and far from nervous when she hits the stage.'
The insider added, referencing the new revelations that Beau has also undergone singing coaching from the StagePro Academy in Warrington: 'It's not as if she's only had a few singing lessons - far from it - she's a polished performer who's clearly very comfortable on stage.'
Teen Star has also seen winners such as X Factor's Luke Friend, Jahmene Douglas and Lucy Spraggan, as well as up-and-coming chart star Birdy.

Beau seriously impressed the judges and the nation on Saturday night's episode of BGT, the first in the new series, with her incredible rendition of Defying Gravity, a favoured song of hers to perform.
But on Tuesday it was claimed that ITV producers opted to keep part of her back story quiet, mainly her previous training and now her apparent expertise in singing competitions - Beau has also been revealed to have won Halton's Got Talent and Warrington's Got Talent in recent years.
The Daily Star claimed that the youngster has been receiving vocal coaching from the StagePro Academy in Warrington for the past four years, while the young talent has also won several talent shows in the past.

Honed her talent: It's been claimed that ITV producers opted to keep part of Beau's back story quiet as it's been revealed that the young singer has 'attended stage school'
A Britain's Got Talent spokesperson told MailOnline: 'This story is ridiculous. Beau had singing lessons once a month for the past four years at Stage Pro Academy.
'Just because she has had singing lessons, it doesn't mean that she doesn't get nervous when performing as was stated on the show.'
The spokesperson added: 'Adele, who is the biggest selling artist in the world, suffers from nerves when performing, so it's not surprising to think that Beau would as well, especially given that she is a 12 year old schoolgirl.'

Little girl, big voice: The talented pre-teen wowed the judges and the nation with her impressive rendition of Defying Gravity on Sunday night's episode
In the clip which played before Beau's audition, her mother had claimed that 'to get up on stage is a really big thing' for the youngster from Cheshire.
Beau and her mother made an appearance on Lorraine on Monday morning, as they explained their joy at the successful audition.
Speaking about her emotional state before the performance, Beau told Lorraine Kelly: 'I had a lot of butterflies,' but revealed she was on such a thrill while singing that she didn't even notice the audience's reaction during her audition, adding: 'I don't know, I was just singing.'

Beau's mother explained: 'Once she starts singing, she goes into her own little world.
'She's really humble isn't she and takes it all in her stride... I'm still in this bubble at the moment it's been really great.'
Speaking in a pre-recorded video, Amanda also expressed her admiration for the young star, saying: 'Beau I am so proud of you!'
She added: 'I'm so excited to see you in the live finals.'
