How Harry paid tribute to his late mother

Prince Harry has been candid about the impact of his mother’s death in his memoir, Spare. Over the years, both Harry and Prince William have also treasured the memory of their mom through tributes.
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of Diana’s tragic car crash, Harry remembered her with a speech. It was when he was hosting a charity event through the Sentebale Polo Cup.
In an emotional speech, he gushed: “My dear friend Prince Seeiso and I founded Sentebale 16 years ago in honor of our mothers with a mission to support many of the most vulnerable young people on the planet—and to give them care and help so that they can thrive,” he said.
“In Sesotho, the language of the Basotho—the word Sentebale means ‘forget-me-not.’
He added: “Next week is the 25th anniversary of my mother’s death and, she most certainly will never be forgotten. I want it to be a day filled with memories of her incredible work and love for the way that she did it.”
The Duke of Sussex, who is married to Meghan Markle, said he wants the day to be ‘about his mom’. He also admitted he wishes she could have met his children, Archie and Lilibet.
